(18th January 2024 – Amsterdam) Insight TV, the leading Millennial-focused global channel operator, and content producer, announces the appointment of Sam Thompson as Insight TV’s Global VP of Content Distribution with immediate effect. ​ Former LGI Media and Big Media executive Sam Thompson will report to Insight TV CEO Rian Bester. ​ 

Thompsons' appointment coincides with Insight TV's increasing focus on growing its catalog of titles for distribution. ​ His remit is to identify new sales opportunities around the world, manage the existing sales team and bring in new content to add to the catalog. ​ He is charged with expanding the efforts of Insight TV over the past 18 months to grow both its sales and its catalog of titles. ​ Driving opportunities with new partners and building on the existing distribution success which has grown every year since the company was founded almost 10 years ago. ​ 

Over the past 18 months, Insight TV has been actively focused on growing its production and sales capacities including large scale projects like The Ride Life with Sung Kang, FAST ORIGINALS and titles with a third-party licensing focus including pre-buys and distribution pick ups. ​ Working with producers around the world, including major companies in China, Insight TV has increased its catalog of titles for distribution by over 80 hours and is looking to increase this number again in 2024. ​ At the same time, the company has developed key buyer relationships in every market from the US to New Zealand and has a unique reach in the Chinese market.

Thompson brings over 20 years of experience in content licensing and pre-sales along with numerous industry relationships to accelerate the company's efforts in this area and to continue to refine the strategy in the changing global media landscape. ​
